Thank You For a Great 2020 Scare Season!

Ticket sales are concluded for the 2020 scare season. Thank you to our volunteers, vendors, and especially to our customers who’s screams make it worth it every year. We are excited to see you again in October 2021!

Did you know that your ticket purchase is actually a donation?

Proceeds from each ticket purchased go back into the Sioux Falls community through Jaycees projects. Learn more about how our haunted house is a fundraiser!

What to expect in 2020

In order to provide as safe of an experience as possible for our guests and volunteers, a few things will be different this year.

Volunteer Masks

All volunteers will be wearing masks in public areas, including inside of the haunt! We highly encourage the public to please wear a mask when attending.

Socially Distanced Lines

Groups will be spaced 6 feet apart in the queue line, and we will increase times between guests entering the haunt. We appreciate your cooperation in social distancing.

Symptom Monitoring

We will be checking our volunteers for any covid symptoms, and asking those feeling ill to stay home. If you are experiencing symptoms, please stay at home and seek medical advice.

Common Ticket Questions

We're glad you asked! Yes, the Sioux Falls Jaycees are a 501c3 non profit, and the Haunted House is our biggest fundraiser and volunteer driver of the year! Proceeds are used to support other Jaycee projects in the community, such as the 4th of July Fireworks at the Fairgrounds and our Holiday Gifts for Kids program that provides gifts to an average of 1600 Sioux Falls area children annually. We invite you to learn more about how the Sioux Falls Jaycees give back to the community, or even volunteer if the project is a fit for you.
We have an alarm and camera system within the haunt that allows security to be notified in any type of emergency, from an unruly patron to a twisted ankle. We have increased our safety measures significantly in response to Covid-19 and have a complete Covid Response Plan available to the public which includes social distancing, sanitization procedures and more.
Absolutely! We will have sanitizer stations available for patrons to use, as well as providing sanitizer bottles for volunteer areas. In addition, we are increasing our cleaning procedures ensuring we meet CDC recommendations.
Masks are not required of our customers, however, we strongly recommend wearing a mask while attending the haunted house, both in line and inside the haunt. Volunteers will be required to wear masks in all customer facing areas at all times.
No, we don't do refunds. If you buy your ticket but are unable to make it or are too scared to enter the haunt, please talk to a volunteer. Tickets are valid until the end of the season, so we can check your ticket back out so it can be used at a later date when you are feeling braver, or given to a friend to use instead. Make sure to use these before the end of the season, since there are no refunds and tickets permanently expire after Halloween.
Yes! If the line is longer than you expected, you can follow the link in your confirmation email and upgrade to Fast Pass for just $5 more. Once you have upgraded, go back up to the volunteer scanning in the line and re-scan your ticket to enter the Fast Pass line. Taxes and processing fees will still apply.
